My hand is cut by a knife, the wound is deep, what shall i do ?

last night, my hand was cut by knife. the wound is cut deeply and i think i need stitches.... though my friend gave me a first aid by applying turmeric powder on it and simply bandaging it....and now the pain is increasing...... i am very confused what shall i do..... i do not have a lot of money on me so it would be difficult visiting a doctor....
